PCVA is always proud to sponsor the Legal Foundation of Washington’s annual Goldmark Award Luncheon, which occurred on February 17, 2023. The pinnacle event for civil legal aid and equal access to justice in Washington State, the event was attended by over 700 members of the bar and bench.
“Ensuring everyone has equal access to the justice system is tremendously important to our firm,” said Managing Partner Tom Vertetis. “No one should get locked out of the courthouse because they cannot afford the cost of admission.”
In addition to supporting a great cause, PCVA attorneys were in the spotlight at the event: On behalf of our associates, Lesley O’Neill and Alex Dietz accepted awards for most money raised and highest average gift in last year’s Associates Campaign for Equal Justice fund drive. PCVA Associate attorney Sydney Codd chairs the Associates Campaign and had the honor of presenting the awards. Sydney is assisted in her role by fellow PCVA associate Bridget Grotz, who serves on the Campaign for Equal Justice Board and PCVA managing partner Tom Vertetis, who serves as immediate past president.
“Our associates are a fiery bunch. Once the C4EJ campaign was announced feathers started flying throughout the firm and the competitive spirit took over,” said Tom. “We were blown away by the associates energy and commitment to raise awareness and money for such a worthy cause.”
