Jessica Burrus first joined PCVA as a legal assistant. She watched the attorneys at PCVA take on the powerful institutions and individuals that committed, enabled, or covered up child sexual abuse. She admired her team’s eagerness to share their expertise with other changemakers and how their work drew attention to the prevalence of abuse in communities around the country.
To Jessica, the work performed at PCVA was a calling to a higher purpose. After a few years, her career path became clear: she wanted to join them as an attorney. Jessica went on to earn her J.D. and return to PCVA as an associate attorney representing adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Jessica is a member of the firm’s team handling Catholic clergy and school cases. Working collaboratively with her colleagues, her contributions play a critical role in outcomes, guiding clients from intake through the litigation process. She prioritizes being a compassionate resource for clients, many of whom still struggle with the trauma of their experiences.
Jessica is proud to work on a team that has been at the forefront of representing adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse throughout the United States. She is honored to have the opportunity to bring cases that aid in the healing of PCVA’s clients and their communities.
